SERVICE PROVIDER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between MyHomelyHub Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”) and Service Providers (“you,” “your”) who register and use the MyHomelyHub platform to offer home services to customers. By signing up and using MyHomelyHub, you agree to comply with these terms.
1. Definitions
- “Platform” – The MyHomelyHub website and mobile application.
- “Service Provider” – Any individual or business offering services through MyHomelyHub.
- “Customer” – Any homeowner or individual booking services via the platform.
- “Booking” – A request from a Customer for a Service Provider’s services.
- “Subscription Plan” – Any paid membership offered to Service Providers for enhanced features.
- “Payment Processor” – The third-party service managing payments between Customers and Service Providers.
2. Eligibility and Registration
2.1 Requirements
To register as a Service Provider, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal right to work and offer services in the United Kingdom.
- Provide accurate business details, including qualifications and certifications where required.
2.2 Verification
- We may conduct identity and background verification checks before approving your account.
- Additional verification (e.g., criminal record checks, insurance confirmation) may be required for certain service categories.
2.3 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
3. Service Provider Obligations
3.1 Providing Services
- You must perform services professionally, lawfully, and in accordance with industry standards.
- Any disputes or issues must be handled promptly and fairly.
- You must provide all necessary tools, materials, and equipment unless agreed otherwise with the Customer.
3.2 Pricing and Payments
- You set your own service prices.
- Payments will be processed through MyHomelyHub’s payment system, and you agree to any applicable fees.
- You are responsible for any taxes, VAT, or other legal financial obligations related to your earnings.
3.3 Cancellations & No-Shows
- If you need to cancel a job, you must notify the Customer as soon as possible.
- Frequent cancellations or no-shows may lead to suspension or removal from the platform.
3.4 Insurance & Liability
- You must have appropriate insurance for the services you provide.
- MyHomelyHub is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from your services.
4. Payments & Fees
4.1 Payment Processing
- Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider.
- You must have a valid bank account or payment method linked to your profile.
4.2 Platform Fees
- MyHomelyHub charges a service fee on each completed transaction, which will be deducted automatically.
- Additional fees may apply for premium features, advertising, or subscription plans.
4.3 Refunds & Disputes
- If a dispute arises, we may mediate, but we are not responsible for refunds.
- Customers may dispute a payment, and if a chargeback occurs, you may be required to provide evidence of service completion.
5. Subscription Plans
5.1 Free & Premium Memberships
- You can choose between free or paid subscription plans to access different features.
- Premium members may receive benefits such as priority listings, enhanced visibility, and additional verification badges.
5.2 Billing & Renewals
- Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually, as chosen at checkout.
- You can cancel at any time, but refunds are not provided for unused subscription periods.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Provide false or misleading information about your services.
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unethical behavior.
- Use the platform to harass, threaten, or discriminate against Customers or other users.
- Circumvent MyHomelyHub’s platform by directing Customers to pay outside the system.
- Misuse customer data in violation of GDPR or other data protection laws.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
7. Intellectual Property & Branding
7.1 Use of MyHomelyHub Branding
- You may use MyHomelyHub branding only as permitted (e.g., on your profile or marketing materials).
- Unauthorized use of our trademarks, logos, or branding is prohibited.
7.2 Ownership of Content
- Any content you post (e.g., service descriptions, images) must not infringe on third-party rights.
- MyHomelyHub may display and promote your profile and services as part of its marketing efforts
8. Limitation of Liability
- MyHomelyHub is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service provided.
- We do not guarantee any minimum number of bookings or income.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the platform.
9. Termination & Suspension
9.1 By You
- You can close your account at any time by contacting support.
9.2 By MyHomelyHub
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms.
- Receive multiple customer complaints.
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.
If your account is terminated, you forfeit any unpaid earnings held by MyHomelyHub for any unresolved disputes.
10. Amendments & Updates
- We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the new terms.
- We will notify you of significant updates via email or platform notifications.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
- These terms are governed by UK law.
- Any disputes should first be resolved through negotiation or mediation.
- If legal action is necessary, disputes shall be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
